Ottawa tries — again — to strip military of power to investigate sexual offences

Military members, their faces unseen, line up.

Prime Minister Mark Carney's government is picking up where the Trudeau administration left off and will make an attempt to reform the military justice system. Legislation to take the investigation and prosecution of sexual offenses away from military police was lost when Parliament was prorogued. It's now back.
